|Welcome to the web site of A.N.T. Photographics.|
This photo agency was set up in the early 90's by Keith Adams after taking early retirement from his position as a local government officer and is based in Greenford, West London.
Having life long interests in both wildlife and ancient history, these two subjects are well represented amongst his 25,000 transparencies. To many photographers, this quantity may seem colossal but by photo-agency standards it is a very small collection indeed. Other photographers have since been recruited and the agency has represented seven other photographers in such diverse work ranging from postcards and magazines to advertising for a transport company, a commission for a property company and a CD cover.
The main business of the agency has been supplying publishers with images for the book publishing trade. The first book to be involved in, was on the subject of Ancient Egyptian Pharaohs by Jo Forty and A.N.T. supplied around 50% of the total images in the book. Images of Ancient Egypt along with a substantial amount of images of British and exotic butterflies and moths are major subjects in the collection.
In 1994, "Amateur Photographer" published a 3 page article in their magazine about the butterfly photography of Keith Adams.
There are also ancient Greek and Roman sections and more recently a new range of Neolithic to Roman British sites has been added to the library. The wildlife side apart from the lepidoptera previously mentioned covers a large quantity of African and Indian birds, mammals, plants and insects. There are also British plants and insects as well.
Since the first Egyptian book, there have been four more with contributions from A.N.T. of not only Egyptian but Greek and Roman historical images to books on Mythology and ancient civilisations.
Images of British landscape and London statues have been used in "England" and "Cycling in London".
